DocsEngine Update - Disability Claims
New DocsEngine for Pensions Update Released
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) final regulations concerning disability claims are now effective as of April 2, 2018. These final regulations change the procedural requirements to protect and safeguard claims for disability under both group health plans and retirement plans. See our prior posts for what this means for your plans. You can find a complete explanation of the regulations at https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2016-12-19/pdf/2016-30070.pdf.
In response, the various templates on the DocsEngine for Pensions system have been updated to reflect the DOL's Final Disability Regulations. As with all DocsEngine for Pensions updates, there is no need for you to take any actions to install or download the update. You will be using the new updated content when you next log in to the system to create a plan or summary plan description.
